About Vet

Kate has been fostering animals as long as she can remember, starting with orphaned squirrels after Hurricane Floyd in 1999, up until currently, as she owns and operates a Cat Café, Catnip & Coffee.

Graduating from Trident Technical College's Veterinary Technology Program in 2013, Kate passed her national and state boards, becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has special interests in hand-raising neonates, feline medicine/behavior, and nutrition. Of course, those cats with special needs hold a special place in her heart.

Kate has taken additional continuing education courses specific to the field of small animal companion nutrition. The combination of some of these courses have led to the following titles: Pet Nutrition Advisor, & Pet Nutrition Coach

Kate has two more certifications in nutrition that are currently in progress, and a program from University of Tennessee's College of Veterinary Medicine that she is taking online.

Kate's newest venture, besides Vetster, is starting her own Feline Leukemia Positive Rescue in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, and is seeking 501c3 status. When she isn't running her many projects and businesses, Kate can be found spending time with her family. She has two kids, a husband, 5 cats (3 blind, 1 with limb deformities, and 1 "normal" cat) a lab, and 3 guinea pigs.
