Hello! I am 30 years old, born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. Growing up, I quickly became fond of my friend's animals since I didn't have pets of my own (besides fish and hamsters) leading me to decide I wanted a career in veterinary medicine. As I got older I developed severe allergies which led me to explore other career options. Nothing set in, but after a time of reflection and a refreshing trip to the Smoky Mountains I was determined to still become a veterinary nurse. I graduated in 2017 from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology, worked in Lansing for 4 years then moved back to Grand Rapids and been working at a small animal hospital for the past year.
My interests involve phlebotomy, catheter placement, anesthesia and surgery. I also have a passion for horses, large felines, and Zoo medicine. I am currently pursuing telehealth for more income to attack my college debt! I am recently married to an amazing man. We have three cats: Bailey (dilute tortie female), Hans (orange tuxedo male) and Forest (handsome black male whom I refer to as my panther). My hobbies/free time activities include time with friends, travel, outdoor activities, reading, journaling, music, and shows/movies. I get excited to explore new cities, restaurants, and coffeeshops and to try new foods or adventures. I am a proud aunt to two little girls and a boy.
I am eager to take on this new telehealth job where I can virtually help clients and their beloved pets get the best medical advice and guidance, especially during a time where it can be hard to get in to the vet hospital.
