About Vet

Well, hello! I'm Jake, a small animal veterinarian in Colorado. Though I mostly treat dogs and cats these days, I have a background in livestock medicine and occasionally work with wildlife and exotic pets. A graduate of Colorado State University in 2019, I've been working in general practice practice and emergency hospitals since that time. My passions within veterinary medicine include giving clients time to discuss their goals & questions, managing pain in animals, and discussing quality of life as well as end-of-life care. I love that I get to learn from every person and animal I meet, and I’m appreciative for every opportunity to work with someone new!

I’ve been fortunate enough to practice medicine in multiple countries, and I understand we all have different goals for our healthcare. I’m not here to make judgements, just to try to understand your goals and help however I can. You’re the expert of your animals, and I know a wide range of medical options.

Dr. Rodgers was very thorough and listened to all my concerns. It was so stress free to not have to load a large senior dog into the car and get nervous in the vet. The value of doing virtual visits is so nice for minor issues for the dog, owner and relieving stress on clinic.

The Dr was very helpful. Fortunately, we had some medication for my dogs eye at home and were advised to increase the dosage. The Dr also gave us suggestions on what to look for if the medication doesn’t work. Very nice, friendly and took time out of a holiday weekend.

Dr. Rogers was wonderful! He accidentally missed a last-minute 4:00 am appointment but was right on time for the 8:00 am appointment! He was very thorough and reassuring and we got a solid game plan. It’s also great we can reach out for any further questions through this app, as it’s the weekend and we’re currently a bit away from any emergency vets! (And the refund for the missed appointment has already been started, so they are quick to work on those things!)
