About Vet

Hello! I am so excited to be a part of Vetster! I am also very excited that CA has just passed a law that allows veterinarians to both give medical advice over telemedicine as well as prescribe medications. The passing of this law is a game changer, and I am so thrilled to be a part of it.

I grew up in San Jose, CA. I received my veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences. I am currently working on my MBA through the University of La Verne and my MPH (Masters in Pubic Health) through the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation from veterinary school, I opened an Urgent Care Clinic. So for the first part of my veterinary career I focused on ER/Urgent Care. I have since moved on to General Practice and I love it! I am a huge advocate of client communication. I feel like so many clients leave the veterinary clinic without a proper understanding of what is going on with their fur baby. I think we need to figure out innovative ways to bridge this gap. I believe Vetster is a great start. Vetster allows initial exams and multiple follow up exams, all from the comfort of your own home. This is truly such phenomenal progress in veterinary medicine.

As I mentioned, early in my career, my focus was on urgent care and emergency medicine. For the last number of years I have worked in General Practice. I love General Practice, as I have more time to discuss with the client all that needs to be discussed. I am a big advocate of pet insurance and antimicrobial stewardship. I am comfortable with all types of cases. I feel like I have seen it all, from ER to GP.

Again, my main goal on this platform is for you (the client) to have a full understanding of what I am trying to communicate. If you feel like you do not understand or perhaps you feel some frustration, I urge you to communicate this with me. I am here for you and your fur baby, in all ways. If you leave the appointment dissatisfied, then I did not do my job. I can't wait to meet you and your fur baby!
