About Vet

Dr. Brittany Moore is a Florida native who migrated north to be able to enjoy fall and winter weather while also getting sweet tea. She graduated from the University of Florida (GO GATORS!) with 2 bachelor’s degrees (Psychology and Animal Science), her doctorate, and a wonderful husband who she met while living in the undergraduate dormitories.

Dr. Moore is excited to be joining Gentle Care Animal Hospital at Ten Ten in Cary as of August 31, 2026. She most enjoys preventative medicine, dermatology, behavior, and helping pet parents walk through the difficulties of end-of-life management. She loves sharing her knowledge about veterinary medicine and is often creating new educational handouts to give to her clients. She feels one of her main roles as a veterinarian is to be able to empower pet parents to be educated partners in their pets' care. She is passionate about fear-free veterinary medicine and is also a bit of a ‘crazy cat Doctor’ (who loves her canine friends too!)

When not in the hospital or helping pets online, Dr. Moore likes to spend time with her husband, young daughter, and 3 cats (Mac, Bella, & Moody). Her ideal day off consists of some assortment of reading, horseback riding, cooking (followed closely by eating), and napping - though most of that is a little limited lately with having a very active little one.

I had a great appointment with Dr. Moore. She was very friendly and helpful, and she provided me with a ton of great info. As a new dog owner, I feel much better equipped to take care of my fur baby!
