About Vet

Over 29 years of Veterinary experience! (and a Past-President of the Nevada Veterinary Medical Association)

In 2019, I sold the Veterinary Hospital I owned for 20 years expecting to enjoy an early retirement.; however, I find I am not ready to retire as I still enjoy helping pets. I joined 'Vetster' to help advise pet owners on how to best take care of their furry family members. I have always felt that Educating pet owners is the best way to help my patients live a long and healthy life, and, coming from generations of teachers I am gifted in the ability to explain most pet issues in terms that everyone can understand (instead of the "Medical Jargon" that is so confusing to many pet owners).

When not helping animals, I enjoy being out in nature, traveling and learning new things. I especially love being at the beach and scuba-diving in the Caribbean. I am married to my college sweetheart and we currently showing our two cats (both over 12 years old) the joys of traveling in our motor home as we plan on visiting America's amazing National Parks! So far, they are adjusting well... and one is even learning to walk on a harness!

Dr Fisher is hands down the most wonderful veterinarian I've ever known. Unfortunately, we are no longer in the same state so I was thrilled to find him on this site. My dog had injured her leg and I needed a second opinion. Dr Fisher is knowledgeable, caring and his explanations are easy for an anxious dog mom such as myself to understand.
