I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian since I was a little girl growing up in south Florida. Having never seen snow and believing that 50 degrees Fahrenheit was cold, I pursued my undergraduate degree in Animal Science at Cornell University. Boy was I misguided about the weather! My studies did, however, further affirm my desire to take care of animals and I returned to my home state to earn my veterinary degree from the University of Florida. A glutton for punishment, I then decided to return to the north and completed my internship in small animal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in NYC.
By that point I was in love, with both the northeast and my new husband, and I made NY both my home and place of work. I have been practicing small animal medicine in NYC for over 13 years, and I cannot imagine doing anything more fulfilling with my career. I passionately love working with and caring for animals.
When I’m not taking care of my patients, I am loving life with my husband, 3 kids and our dog (we had 2 dogs until we recently lost one of our best four-legged friends in early 2020). I also enjoy cooking, playing tennis, and curling up on the couch with a good novel.
