About Vet

Born in France and raised in equatorial Africa and Canada, I initially wanted to be a wild life preserve veterinarian but soon fell in love with surgery. Low and behold, neurology and neurosurgery picked me. After my internship in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and residency in Davis, California, I went on to practice in both academia and private practice.

I have spoken internationally on veterinary medicine, owned my own clinic in Sarasota, Florida, been blessed to receive seven business awards and countless recognitions in my field. I enjoy everything about neurology and my greatest goal is to keep families together by being clear and honest about the issues at hand. I have been privileged to work on almost every type of creature including lions and tigers, penguins and snakes, rabbits and gorillas, and many more.

My expertise is in neurology and neurosurgery as well as laser (people call it red light) therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I am also trained in rehabilitation for small animals and authored a video for rehabilitation for dogs and cats after back injury.

It is of the utmost importance to me that my clients feel comfortable about with the information provided and their decisions. It is not easy to decide for our family members who cannot speak for themselves and I am honored to be part of that process.

Like any good vet, I have pets. I live with my two dogs, Magnum and Bubba. I discovered horses in my early fifties and spend much of my free time with them now. Luminaria is my soulmate and Louis, her son, is my partner in crime.
