Hi! I’m Dr. Tara, and it would be my pleasure to help you and your animal family members!

I am a companion animal vet practicing with a conscious, compassionate, and collaborative philosophy and approach. My passions include accessible veterinary care, urgent care, a focus on the human-animal bond, enhancing overall wellness in the home, holistic care, pain management, animal emotional (behavioural) issues, exotic & wild animal care, infectious disease, palliative & hospice care, end of life care, and client education and emotional support.

I am here to listen to your concerns, and work with you to address them in a way that works not only for your pet, but for you. I offer a non-judgemental, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach that values the knowledge and dedication of pet parents; I see you and the love you have for your pet. I know that they have been your lifeline; I know how important they are to you. I also know that life holds significant stressors and challenges for all of us right now. Many of us are struggling in some way or another right now, and having a sick animal family member is more stressful than ever, as we face severe shortages in the veterinary health care system.

In my 20 years as a veterinarian, I have enjoyed experiences in companion animal general practice, emergency/ICU practice, shelter medicine, regulatory medicine, international vet medicine, and mobile veterinary practice. I am excited to be adding telemedicine to the list as I feel I can help pet parents access veterinary care that they may not otherwise be able to.
