About Vet

Dr Rachael Lang is a veterinarian based in Squamish, BC. She graduated as a veterinarian in 2015 from Glasgow Vet School in Scotland which is also where she grew up. After graduating, she worked in a busy general practice that also provided emergency care to the Lake District in England. While there, she honed her interest in geriatric medicine (Rachael has a particular passion for making sure our older furry friends have the best quality of life possible), dermatology and behavioural medicine (two areas that Rachael feels can markedly affect quality of life in her patients and the owner-pet relationship) alongside infectious diseases and general medicine. In 2018, she moved to Calgary with her husband and their two labradors Penny and Copper. While there, she worked in a busy referral and emergency centre for almost 4 years dealing with complex medical cases. Their love for spending time in the mountains had the family moving to Squamish, BC in 2021. Since then Rachael has been working in general practice and ER in the Sea to Sky and North Vancouver regions. Rachael is an outdoor enthusiast and on a day off you will inevitably find her in the mountains or at a lake with her labradors. Rachael is excited that telemedicine is growing so successfully as she feels it is such a great compliment to the industry for pet owners who struggle to get their furry friends physically to vet clinics. She looks forward to meeting you and being able to help your beloved pet!
