PLEASE NOTE - AS a licensed veterinarian in NOVA SCOTIA I am only able to prescribe medications to patients I have seen in person or who are clients of my affiliated practice - Animal Medical Centre, in Sydney, NS. I am happy to meet NEW clients as well to discuss your pet's wellness and health concerns, but may not be able to offer a diagnosis or prescription.
Dr. Parsons is a companion animal veterinarian with 20 years experience living in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She works part time at Animal Medical Centre in Sydney River. She lives in rural Cape Breton with her husband, daughter, dog, and chickens. She loves being outdoors; hiking, mountain biking, foraging and wildcrafting, as well as reading, baking, and being a homeschool mom. She is currently trying keep her sourdough starter as healthy as her pets.
Dr. Parsons graduated from Ontario Veterinary College and the University of Guelph, Ontario in 2005. After an internship in Chicago, Illinois she moved to Nova Scotia and has called Cape Breton her home ever since. She enjoys general medicine but also became certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) in 2012.
She sees a need for telemedicine services in Cape Breton and is excited to help bring quality care to those who have difficulty accessing traditional veterinary services.
