About Vet

Dr. Jamie Lecky is a small animal veterinarian with special interest in preventive care, senior wellness, pain management, and emergency medicine. She is a 2011 graduate from Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Upon graduating, she spent some time in mixed animal practice in rural Alberta, before deciding to practice exclusively small animal- and more specifically specialize in emergency medicine.

Over the last few years of doing telemedicine, she has developed a passion for providing advice to owners and care for pets who may otherwise go without. Being an emergency veterinarian she recognizes first hand the strain in the veterinary ERs. However by offering telemedicine, it has been a great way to be able provide extra support to the profession. Whether it be by recognizing and treating certain ailments virtually, or by being able to triage and provide advice to pet parents

Dr Jamie loves all animals big and small, but has the greatest affinity for dogs (namely Great Danes) and horses ! She currently splits her time between Canada and Florida

Our nearly 20 year old senior cat was encountering urinary issues last night and into the morning (she was having small pees, vocal and likely in pain). This has been a recurring issue for our girl and usually takes place when she experiences stress or life changes. As a senior, it doesn’t take much life change now to stress her, sadly. Given how prone she is to stress, we avoid taking her to the clinic whenever we can so Vetster has been a wonderful find. We are especially grateful to have found Dr. Lecky. She is an absolute gem. She is kind, attentive, knowledgeable and listens with care. It is clear that she puts the comfort and needs of her clients first. So happy with my appointment today, she explained what was happening and why and broke things down to actually understand them. I couldn’t even get good answers from an in person vet for my dog but she did great and finally got me some real answers she’s amazing !
