Dr. Tara Pugh

I am so fortunate to have had a true African experience - I grew up in Zimbabwe, living in the national park and on various farms. Having experiences such as these, my passion for animals grew exponentially!

My family will tell you that from the tender age of five, I said that one day I will be a veterinarian. My pursuit of this dream saw me attend Veterinary School in South Africa. I concentrated on small animal veterinary medicine and surgery. There I gained valuable experience in both general practice clinics and emergency hospitals, with some time spent as a locum veterinarian travelling around South Africa.

Now I have the opportunity for an exciting new adventure in beautiful Canada! I have been living in Calgary, Alberta for over a year now. We have all been through some tough times with this pandemic controlling most aspects of our lives. I am so fortunate that I am able to continue to work in an industry that I am passionate about. I look forward to meeting you virtually and getting to know your pets!
