Dr. Sylvia Hall Andrews

My little girl's dream of becoming an animal doctor has materialized into a veterinary career spanning over 29 years (and counting!), helping pets and their families with their medical needs. My work at our busy small animal practice on Vancouver Island, which has included decades of on-call duty, has given me a strong background in delivering appropriate triage, advice, and patient assessments by phone during times when an in-person examinations might not be feasible.

I have a strong interest in internal medicine, and enjoy working through all types of cases, from frustrating skin problems to pets who just aren't feeling quite right. Of course, puppy and kitten wellness exams are the highlight of any day!

When I'm not in the clinic or working in my jungle of a garden, my passion for horseback riding and travel often take me on the road with my mare and my co-pilot Spy the Dog, exploring Canada's wilderness. Our other home on Prince Edward Island also sees us out on the east coast for many months of the year, spending time with family.
