About Vet

Hello pet owners! I am a small animal veterinarian with experience in emergency medicine, general practice and end of life care.

I graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2018. After graduation I completed a rotating internship focused on emergency medicine in New York City. Following that experience I worked as an emergency doctor at a busy hospital in Seattle for 4 years. When my father passed away I moved back to my home town in Port Coquitlam to support and grieve with my mom. I then spent 2 years working in general practice.

Most recently, I have pursued my passion by opening an at home end of life care and euthanasia business (Paws at Peace Veterinary Services) as I feel like there are very few resources for pet owners to discuss things like quality of life, saying goodbye, and options for providing comfort care instead of pursuing more testing and aggressive treatments. While this business is in its infancy, I have been supplementing my income as a locum doctor (covering for many hospitals who require a doctor) and Vetster. With my experience as an ER doctor, I have often seen pets in the ER who could have waited to see their primary vet or didn’t need a doctor at all, but their owners had no way of knowing that. I’m hoping my role at Vetster will help calm down nervous pet owners and also help point them in the best direction to help their pet.

I love all animals, but I am a cat person. I have two cats named Trig and Sweets. They are my little shadows and loves of my life. I also love to travel any chance I can and have seen 6 of the 7 Wonders of the World.

I look forward to speaking with you about your pet!
