Dr. Lofsky has been caring for dogs and cats for the past twenty-two years. He started working in Toronto at McLean Animal Hospital. Then after two years he moved to Oakville and began working at Kingsway Animal Hospital in Hamilton. Seven years later he moved to Cambridge and started working at Gateway Pet Hospital. Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Lofsky attended the University of Guelph and was awarded his Bachelor of Science in 1994 and then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.
Dr. Robert Lofsky is a member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, The American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Lofsky is a Fear Free Elite Certified Professional and has also completed the Cat-Friendly Certificate Program that focuses on feline-specific skills and knowledge that has helped reinforce his commitment to feline medicine and practice.
