Megan spent majority of her life in Northwestern Ontario where she fell in love with animals and nature. Megan began working as a veterinary receptionist In 2009 and in 2010, was accepted into the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College (Coquitlam, BC) where she graduated as a veterinary technician.
Upon graduating, Megan worked as a registered veterinary technician in Northern Ontario in small animal general practice/emergency. She worked mainly with dogs and cats and learned and saw a lot of interesting cases.
In 2018 Megan moved back to the west coast, drawn to adventure, mountains and the ocean life. She tested the waters at a few clinics before she took on a new personal challenge, working at a veterinary ophthalmologist’s(eye specialists)office.
Working in speciality has expanded Megan’s knowledge in many ways. Pairing her experience of general practice and emergency with ophthalmology has given Megan an advancement in education and the ability to advise pet parents more confidently in many areas of veterinary medicine.
