About Vet

Hello! I’m Dr. Christie Ong, a small animal veterinarian practicing in Vancouver. I am licensed with the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC).

I have a strong passion for helping senior pets live fulfilling, comfortable lives — even with chronic or age-related conditions. My goal is to improve health and quality of life in all aspects, while providing compassionate, individualized care. I’m very detail-oriented and committed to ensuring you and your pet have the best experience possible during every consultation.

When booking with me, please note that I will ask detailed questions about your pet’s history to understand their overall health and provide the most appropriate advice. This may include information on:

  • Current and past medications
  • Underlying or chronic conditions
  • Current diet and feeding habits
  • Preventive care (vaccines, parasite control)
  • Lifestyle factors (e.g., frequent travel or outdoor activity)

Please also be aware of the limitations of virtual care. Through telemedicine, I can offer guidance, general advice, and ongoing support for stable or chronic conditions, behavior discussions, diet and preventive care, and post-treatment monitoring. However, I am unable to perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, or prescribe certain medications when an in-person assessment is necessary. In these cases, I may recommend that your pet be seen in-clinic for further evaluation.

I’m very excited to meet you and your pet virtually!
