About Vet

Hello and welcome! Hola y Bienvenido/a!

I'm Ale, a veterinarian with a special focus on improving the quality of life for senior/geriatric pets, end-of-life, integrative pain management, rehabilitation, and emergency medicine. I'm here to support you during the challenging times.

I understand the emotional challenge of deciding when it's time to say goodbye to your beloved pet. It's a decision filled with questions, doubts, and sometimes even guilt. I know the weight it carries and how different family members can have varying opinions. There's no right or wrong answer in these situations, but sometimes having a compassionate veterinarian like me involved can help address these feelings and assist your family in making an informed decision.

I also understand that Western medicine alone may not always provide the complete solution for managing pain. That's why I've pursued additional training and certifications in veterinary acupuncture, spinal manipulation (animal chiropractic), and rehabilitation (currently in progress). I'm also working towards a Masters in Integrative Veterinary Medicine at Chi University, set to be completed by 2024.

When scheduling an appointment with me, please provide the following details in the booking request form to ensure the best possible experience for you and your beloved pet. Pictures and videos are always appreciated (good lighting is essential):

  1. Describe your main concern in detail, including when you first noticed this issue and under what circumstances.
  2. Is the condition improving, worsening, or staying the same?
  3. Has your pet been evaluated by a family veterinarian for this issue? If so, what diagnostics were performed, and what were the results? Are they on any medications?
  4. Are there any other health concerns for your pet?
  5. List any medications your pet is currently taking, including name, strength, and dosage.
  6. What is the main goal of this consult?

It's important to note that telemedicine has limitations, and some modalities of integrative medicine, such as acupuncture, spinal manipulation and rehabilitation, cannot be offered via telemedicine. In such cases, in-person evaluations may be necessary for a comprehensive assessment. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, and I'll do my best to provide guidance and support within the scope of telemedicine.

We live in the north so don't have access to vets. Dr. Ceballos put us at ease and lowered the stress level for sure. We have a course of action and will be able to manage until we can get out on the train to a vet.

What a wonderful experience with Dr. Ceballos. She was incredibly knowledgeable as well as caring. We really feel like she is invested in our dog's health and it was great speaking with someone who could guide us in targeting our dog's issue from all angles. Thank you Dr. Ceballos!
