About Vet

I have been in practice for 30+ years in BC, mostly as a small animal veterinarian but I've done some other cool things as well, like working for the BCSPCA, consulting for a lab animal biotechnology company and consulting for the University of Victoria. My real passion is animal welfare, and I have done a lot of work over the years at a provincial and national level. I bring that passion for animal welfare to my clinical practice, and really like working with people to find the best - and kindest - solutions for their beloved animals. A person's bond with their animal is a very special thing!

Besides cats, dogs and small mammals I have experience with small flock poultry and honey bees. I can help with specific concerns, answer questions about how to provide the best care for your animal and help direct you to trusted sites for more information.

Very helpful and in-depth appointment. I was listened to and the vet took the time to discuss the best arrangements for an stress-free environment for my pet chicken while he recovers from a head wound.

Timely, professional advice to support determining what to do when you can't get in to see someone in person. Much appreciated.

Dr. Grant was phenomenal today. She was very encouraging to this pet owner, who is extremely worried about my kitty and wants to make sure she’s taken care of well. She gave me great advice for next steps forward - to get a vet appointment and bring in a few things for the doctor to see. I appreciate all of the encouragement and the support it means a lot. And she treated my kitty like she matters - and to me, she is the centre of my world. Thank you Dr. Grant

Dr. Grant was very thorough in helping me go through and figure out what’s going on with my very large dog. She was very patient as I tried to navigate my camera around him so she could see all aspects & even went overtime with me as I fumbled around.:) She gave me great information about diet and refilled my prescription while adding another. I am very grateful for her time and expertise today .

This Vet is very thorough. However, I just wanted a question answered and instead I was told to take my cat to an in person vet and left with more questions then answers. There was a suggestion of diagnosis that seemed highly unlikely but I wasn't able to explain the history. Also we already have a vet. The situation is not serious as per our in persons vet advice. Also we have two cats and she ended up getting them mixed up in her notes and wasted the time talking about that cat when I called about my other cat for a skin problem.
