About Vet

I have great passion for animals in particular cats and dogs and my profession, too and believe every animal has a right to a happy, healthy and pain-free life. Having graduated at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich Germany in 1992 I moved to London where I have worked as a 'first-opinion' veterinary surgeon in various first opinion clinics, referral clinics as well as out-of-hours clinics. My professional responsibilities and expertise were: general and special clinical examinations, diagnostics, consultation, preparation of therapy plans, soft tissue surgery. In my last few years in the UK I was working at the Bayswater Referral Clinic of Michael Gordon MRCVS where I had the chance to work besides and consult with renowned in-house specialists as Grant Petrie MA, VetMB, CertSAC, CertSAM, MRCVS, Royal Veterinary College, Paddy Mannion University of Cambridge, Anita Patel, RVC, Prof. Bedford, RVC, Gary Clayton Jones BVetMed, DSAO, DVR, HonFRCVS, Ed Friend - BVetMed , Cert SAS, DECVS, MRCVS, University of Bristol. I gained a lot of experience in emergency and critical care, too as a regular 'out of hours' sole veterinary surgeon at a few 24 hour clinics. (Elizabeth Street Veterinary Clinic, Beaumont Veterinary Hospital, Medivet Hendon, Watford) In January 2010, to be able to raise my son, with my partner who lived in Berlin, I moved to Germany and took over a well established small animal clinic. In March 2010 Doc Marton’s Small Animal Practice was launched in a beautiful location in Alt-Reinickendorf, where I continue to provide evidence based first opinion medicine and perform soft tissue surgery and provide basic dental care. In the autumn of 2017 I found my own pet food label 'Doc Marton's Spezialfutter' to be able to provide my clients with high quality premium dried food made in Britain.
