About Vet

Hello! Originally from Nigeria, I received my Biological Sciences and Veterinary medicine degrees in South Africa.

I've been a practicing vet in various parts of the UK over the last 14 years, specifically working in small animal private practice.

Having fostered and rescued a few animals over the years, I currently reside in Manchester with my rescue black cat Salem. I enjoy anime and Kdrama, and actively play social tag rugby for a Manchester league.

Please be aware that due to strict regulations set by the UK veterinary governing body, I won't be able to provide prescriptions. Instead, I'm happy to advise about alternative over-the-counter options that can be used safely.

I particularly love consulting and assisting pet owners directly, so feel free to ask me any questions about your fur buddy's health. I will endeavour to give you clear advice to ease any worries.

It was great to speak to an expert in animal health. We were advised at the end to see a vet that we tried to avoid as our dog gets very agitated when a stranger tries to get close to him. Philomena was very friendly, helpful and provided us with lots of useful information.
