Dr. Kamilla De Oliveira

Hello everyone, my name is Kamilla, I have been qualified as a vet for 18 years, and work in the small animal field with mainly dogs and cats. I have worked at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) for the past 10 years and worked in private practice as well.

I also started my own private practice where I help the international community in the UK. I have also practiced in Italy and Brazil, so if you need I can perform the consultation in Portuguese or Italian too.

I greatly enjoy my work and I see a good amount of medical and surgical cases on a daily basis and I love general consulting. Other areas that I can help with are with animal welfare cases, welfare assessment and decisions. I am also an Official Vet dealing with Pet travelling and Pet export so I can help with general enquiries and documentation if needed. I love both animals and people and performing telemedicine with Vetster will reach many more pet owners and possibly help with animal welfare in general.

I've recently joined Vetster with is a great service, getting an appointment at your local vet has never been more difficult due to their demand, and having access to telemedicine will help the pets and pet owners quickly.

Please note that the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has now revoked the ability of vets to prescribe remotely, which we were given special dispensation for during Covid, so we are unable to prescribe prescription-only medication. But I can offer advice about possible over-the-counter drugs which may be suitable to help your pet. In many cases, I am able to offer advice and second opinions without the need for medication, or advise which medications/treatments/diagnostics/ I would recommend so you will be aware and can discuss in person when you are able to visit a veterinary clinic. In my personal life I have 2 rescue cats called Olly and Whisper, both were adopted from RSPCA due to severe injuries. In my free time I enjoy music, travelling, art and charity work.
