About Vet

I qualified in 1991 and have worked in the UK since. I initially started in mixed practice in the Midlands (cattle, horses, cats and dogs) before switching to charity practice. I now work primarily with cats and dogs, a few small “furries” and occasionally wildlife. My career has also involved quite a bit of mentoring/teaching of vet students and new graduates. My workload includes routine and emergency medicine, most soft tissue surgery, some orthopaedics (not spinal) and animal welfare work.
I get a lot of satisfaction from explaining to pet owners what the possible cause of a condition might be, what the different treatment options might be or just simply what a particular condition is.

How Can I Help You And Your Pet?

  1. You might be worried as to whether your pets symptoms requires you to go to your vet ASAP? I can give you clear advice on what to do next .
  2. You've been to your vet and been given a diagnosis but you need a bit more time to talk through the diagnosis , treatment or surgery options so that you can get a clearer understanding about your pet’s health or existing illness .
  3. Maybe you are planning on going to your vet but want to talk things through first so that you'll feel more prepared when you do go .
  4. Just space and time to ask questions about your pet's health that you don't always get in a quick 10 minute consult . I am NOT able to offer prescriptions or diagnostic tests but I will provide answers to your queries based on over 30 years’ experience.

I am the proud owner of a poorly behaved Terrier and a cool cat!
