Immune mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) is a disorder where the body’s immune system targets its own red blood cells for destruction. In cats, IMHA can occur as a primary disorder or secondary to other disorders.

Immune mediated thrombocytopenia (IMT) in cats is when the immune system begins to destroy platelets (thrombocytes) causing a drastic decrease in their levels.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a group of idiopathic (spontaneous) conditions that lead to chronic inflammation of the digestive tract.

Injection site sarcoma is a rare condition in cats where a cancerous mass develops in the soft tissue around an injection site. While all injections initially cause a small bump, masses that are present for over 3 months, greater than 2cm in diameter, or grow rapidly require urgent care.

Cryptosporidium are one-celled intestinal parasites infecting cats and other species. Although infection with Cryptosporidium is common, resultant illness is generally only seen in cats that are immunocompromised. 

Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) in cats is a painful condition that affects the discs between the vertebrae of the spinal cord, causing them to burst (herniate) or rupture into the spinal cord space.
