Pet Food Express is best known for their large selection of pet food and accessories, but on some weekends, Pet Food Express has pet fairs where they host rescue cats and dogs from various shelters. Attend the events and connect with your new best friend. Depending on the shelter they are currently partnered with, rescue animals may be insured, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and treated for fleas and ticks.

2. Angel’s Furry Friends Rescue

Angel’s Furry Friends is an animal rescue that has been operating since 2017. Their mission is to raise awareness against animal cruelty. Angel’s Furry Friends pairs with international and local shelters to widen their reach of saving stray pets. They also partner with local pet shops and animal services. When you adopt their rescue pets, you will receive discounts in various pet stores, training services, and veterinary services. Most pets are potty trained, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and treated for ticks and fleas. All pets adopted from this shelter come with complimentary 30-day insurance.

Pup Plaza is a pop-up by Silicon Valley’s Pet Project. Pup Plaza is a one-of-a-kind, dog-centered community center. In this space, you will find events aimed at dogs and their owners. Some events include yoga, dog training, and of course, adoption events. You can also book the space to hold events like dog birthdays for your canine friend. Make sure to check out their website for a list of upcoming events, including days when they are holding adoption fairs. Adoptable dogs found at the Pup Plaza are from the Silicon Valley Pet Project and the San Jose Animal Care Center.
