About Vet

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009 and I have been working in small animal practice since. I have a post-graduate certificate in small animal medicine.

I have also previously had the pleasure of treating seals and sea lions as part of rehabilitation prior to release back into the wild (The Marine Mammal Center, California).

I am passionate about animal health and welfare. Particular areas of interest include pain management, dermatology, anaesthesia, chronic conditions, dentistry, and ophthalmology. I work in a "fear-free" accredited clinic and have a strong focus on animal behaviour and a tailored approach to each animal.

I have enjoyed conducting scientific research which has been published in the Journal of Veterinary Dermatology.

I take a holistic approach to my patients' health and often integrate complementary therapies and I often use therapeutic laser treatment.

I have a beautiful rescue cat called Amy with the fluffiest tail and the highest pitched meow!

Outside of work I enjoy yoga, SCUBA diving, kickboxing and a bit of crochet.

Due to the regulations in the UK I am unable to prescribe medications but I can advise on a range of products that aren't prescription only. I look forward to giving you any advice or peace of mind you need for your furry friend.

Dr Kayleigh was very approachable and caring in her support and advice for our new rescue dog. We sought feeding advice as well as some early behavioural support. Very helpful and useful information and signposting.

The consultation was thorough, but to the point and was effectively supplemented by a comprehensive report to reflect on at my leisure. Kayleigh even managed to get round technical browser issues - though not her responsibility - in a very slick manner, to allow the consultation to proceed.
