Dr. Joel Ovonlen-Jones

Hey there! I am Joel, a veterinarian currently living and working in London. I work in a busy private practice 4 days a week - cats and dogs are my speciality but I have experience treating all kinds of animals.

I joined Vetster to help offer pet owners a more affordable and comprehensive consultation experience. The 30-minute consults enable me to provide a more thorough service that will both educate you and work to find a solution to your pet's problem.

In addition to working as a full-time vet in London, I also have prior experience tele-consulting with the PDSA and am a member of the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society.

I am a general practitioner vet so I can offer a range of first opinion-services including nutritional, behavioural and geriatric care, plus I can provide a second opinion for more complex cardiovascular and neurological issues.

Please note that the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons no longer allows vets to prescribe prescription-only medicine remotely. However, in most cases I am able to advise on alternate over-the-counter drugs, or recommend prescription drugs that you can discuss further with your regular face-to-face veterinarian.
