About Vet

My name is Greta and I am originally from Lithuania, but living in the United Kingdom. In 2017 I graduated from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. After my graduation I have completed surgical traineeship in referral hospital in Budapest. It took me 6 months to complete it and then I moved back to Lithuania to practice there as a small animal vet. After few years, I have moved to the United Kingdom.

My veterinary surgeon career in the United Kingdom started in 2019 as a small animal vet in a very busy first opinion practice. Currently, I am a part timer GP vet at the same clinic where I have started initially. Occasionally I do some odd OOH shifts as a locum vet, because I found out, I really enjoy emergency and critical care. Also, I study for BSAVA Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I am now on my second year out of three.

On my free time I enjoy to meet with friends, travel, exercise, read books and bake.

My special interest is soft tissue surgery, however I am confident with everything with what you would present your pet to the first opinion practice. I am also confident with second opinion on more tricky cases. Species which I treat are dogs and cats, however I would be happy to advise on small furries (eg. rabbits, hamsters, rats) if it does not involve anything too complex, which ideally would need exotic animal vet. Less likely that I would be able to advise you on your pet’s behaviour as it is not my area of expertise. I am also an Official Veterinarian and more than happy to advise you on travelling with your pet under AHC.
