Century Bark Park is a unique dog park that actually has four individual gated areas. Big Paws Field is the dedicated field for large dogs over 30 pounds. Wiggly Field is the field for small dogs that are under 30 pounds. Furry Field is for all dogs to play together. Fetch Field is for all dog sizes but is specifically marked off for obedience training. Waste bags are provided for cleanup and there’s plenty of space to enjoy.
2. Lincoln Dog Park
Lincoln Dog Park is a fairly small park that you’ll find to the southeast of Bismarck, near the suburb of Lincoln. Although it’s fairly small, it’s also widely enjoyed by locals, as there’s enough space for even large dogs to run around. You’ll also find waste bags, which you can use to pick up after your dogs, and some agility equipment, which dogs can enjoy.
3. Dog Town Dog Park
Across the Missouri River from Bismarck, you’ll find Mandan, one of the most prominent sister cities of Bismarck. This park is in Mandan, right next to Sitting Bull Park. The grassy area includes weave poles, bar jumps, and culver tunnels, all great agility equipment that you can use to train your dog or just allow them to run around. Additionally, the site has trash cans, a dog walk, and waste bag dispensers to make your experience even better.
4. Lions Park
One of the oldest parks in Bismarck, Lions Park is still one of the most popular by far. It offers great trails, a nine-hole disc golf course, tennis courts, playgrounds, and skate parks, as well as an ice skating rink during the winter and an aquatic complex during the summer. Although Lions Park does not offer a dedicated dog park, it is still dog-friendly, and your dog is free to join you as long as they’re well-behaved and on a leash.
5. Sleepy Hollow Park
Sleepy Hollow Park is not an official dog park, but it is a truly beautiful park with a long history in Bismarck, reaching back to 1977. Dogs are welcome in the park as long as they’re well-behaved and stay on a leash. The 3.78-mile walking trail is a great way to enjoy your time with your dog in Sleepy Hollow Park. You’ll also find agility equipment and lots of grass for your dog to enjoy.
