1. Concord Dog Park

Amenities

This is one of the most popular and most well-reviewed dog parks in all of Vaughan, and for good reason. Not only is it very large with plenty of space for your dog to run and play, but it also provides separate areas for small and large dogs to play. During the hot season, there's a water fountain for dogs to play in, and you'll also find a great picnic area where humans can enjoy themselves while their dogs play.

2. Sugarbush Dog Park

Amenities
Off leash Dedicated areas Double entry and exit gates

If you're looking for a spot that's fun for the whole family, Sugarbush Dog Park might just be the perfect solution. The dog park itself has a dedicated small dog area as well as a general area for all dogs. Both sections have double-gated entrances to prevent escapes. Nearby, there's a playground for kids to play while the dogs are in the dog park. In the Sugarbush Heritage Park outside the dog park, you'll find 76 acres of land where your dog is welcome as long as they are on a leash. It's a great spot for people and dogs of all shapes and sizes.

3. Vaughan Off Leash Area (Mackenzie Glen District Park)

Amenities
Off leash Dedicated areas Double entry and exit gates

As one of the first off-leash areas in all of Vaughan, the area in the Mackenzie Glen District Park is well-loved by locals. It is technically located in Maple, one of the suburbs of Vaughan, and the City of Vaughan is in charge of this park. Here, you'll find a nice, large park area, including a small dog section and a big dog section. The surface of the park is grass, rather than mulch or wood chips. Check it out if you're in the area and looking for a spot to bring your dogs.

4. Vellore Dog Park

Amenities
Off leash Double entry and exit gates

Another dog park that is technically in one of the suburbs of Vaughan, the Vellore Dog Park, located inside Matthew Park, is most accurately described as being in Woodbridge. However, it's still a great park for local Vaughan residents to visit. It is one of the smaller parks in the area but still boasts both a small dog area and a large dog area, as well as double-gated entrances and waste bins just outside the gates of the park, as well as some benches for humans.

5. Huntington Park Off-Leash Dog Park

Amenities
Off leash Drinking water available Double entry and exit gates

Slightly southeast of Vaughan proper, you'll find the Huntington Park Off-Leash Dog Park, which is one of the most popular dog parks in the area. It does not offer a small or large dog area, but the park itself is quite large, which means your dog will likely be able to have a small area to themselves, especially because it's not an overly busy park. Visit to give your dog a great off-leash time, regardless of their size.

Enjoy your time outdoors with your dog

All dog owners deserve to have a space outdoors where they get to enjoy their time with their dog, but you should also prepare your dog for the experience as well. If you're looking to spend time at a great dog park, you should socialize your dog to avoid problems either with other dogs or with dog owners. You can book a virtual vet appointment with Vetster to get assistance with the socialization process.
