About Vet

I’m a licensed veterinarian with over a decade of clinical experience in emergency medicine, general practice, mobile care, and exotics-inclusive veterinary services. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of species, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, small mammals, and horses, and I’m especially passionate about supporting exotic and non-traditional companion animals whose care relies heavily on education and early recognition of subtle changes.

My approach to veterinary care is centered on clear communication, thoughtful medical judgment, and genuine compassion for both pets and the people who love them. I enjoy helping pet parents understand what they’re seeing at home, guiding them through next steps, and ensuring they feel confident and supported—whether that means monitoring at home or seeking in-person care.

Outside of my clinical work, I’m deeply immersed in animal life. I share my life with my own dogs, cats, chickens and horses. My own pets shape how I connect with clients and reinforce my belief that every pet, regardless of species, deserves attentive, individualized care. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support pets and their families through accessible, thoughtful virtual veterinary guidance.

She asked great questions. Walked me through possible issues ranging from a scratched cornea to more severe concerns. I appreciated that she stepped through the various possibilities and her reassurance that it was likely something very treatable but open to considering it could be something more. She discussed Rx options and was cognizant of costs in her prescribing. overall very good experience and would highly recommend Dr. Cappe
