Hi! I'm a small animal veterinarian with over 10 years of experience working in veterinary medicine. I graduated from Oklahoma State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 and have been practicing in Texas ever since. I work in a busy general practice caring for both dogs and cats, where I manage a wide variety of cases—from preventive wellness care and chronic disease management to soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and emergency medicine.

I believe that educating pet owners is one of the most important parts of veterinary care. My goal is to provide clear, practical guidance so you can make informed decisions and feel confident caring for your pet at home. Whether you have questions about a new symptom, medications, behavior, nutrition, or ongoing health concerns, I'm here to help.

When I'm not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and my own pets—two cats and one dog. I look forward to meeting you and helping keep your furry family members happy and healthy!

Although my appointment for Dobby was never thought to be that serious, he is a part of our family and I wanted to be reassured that there wasn’t a more serious problem. Dr Powell helped me to understand that animals can react to this heat just as humans do. Thanks so much for that reassurance.

Dr Powell walked me through a few tests to feel the body fat my cat does had. She explained that he mostly passed those tests. She asked about his diet and recommended a few easy foods to add to his diet to help him with nutrients and putting on more muscle. Lastly she encouraged me to keep an eye on him and see my doctor if things changed. Dr. Powell was very professional and provided me with the data that calmed my anxiety about my Charlie’s weight. I would use her again. The price is well below an office visit. Thanks Dr. Powell for the great visit.
