About Vet

Mike is a Technician Development Coordinator at a large tertiary emergency and referral hospital that treats approximately 30,000 patients per year. Prior to this role, Mike worked in several disciplines of veterinary medicine including hemodialysis, emergency and critical care, and primary care. He has also worked as a dog trainer teaching obedience and agility classes. He earned his Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Mike is a Fear Free Certified Professional (Level 2), Human-Animal Bond Certified, and a RECOVER Certified Instructor in both BLS and ALS. Besides renal replacement therapies, therapeutic apheresis, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, his other areas of clinical interest include mechanical ventilation, pain management, and palliative care. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys hiking, sampling new beers and cocktails, and amateur woodworking. He shares his home with his wonderful fiancé, Ashley, their rambunctious guinea pig, Alphonse, and their cantankerous geriatric turtle, Ethel.
