Dr. Ericka Mendez

Hi there! I’m Dr. Mendez and I am a 2002 graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. I am a small animal veterinarian in general practice and my area of special interest is dog and cat behavior. I’ve had extensive training and experience in this area and love talking to pet parents about their pets’ trouble behaviors as well as puppy and kitten parents trying to prevent trouble behaviors. I’ve been in practice for 19 years and during that time I’ve had experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine, preventative care, dermatology, cardiology, ultrasound, nutrition, surgery and oncology. I strongly believe that client education is really important and one of my strengths is that I love to teach pet owners about their beloved family members. Being a big picture person I have a talent for making even complicated medical conditions understandable for pet parents so that they can make the best decisions for their pets. I’m also very patient and compassionate and love to form good relationships with my clients. I am a huge believer that there is no such thing as a dumb question and look forward to helping you be the best pet parent you can be.
