Introducing Dr. Frank Akawi! Dr. Akawi has seen great success through Vetster thus far and as such, wanted to share his tips with you on how to book more appointments.
Dr. Akawi has 25 years of experience in the animal health care and veterinary business industry with a strong background in practice management and administration. He has a passion for teaching, and often lectures on veterinary medicine, the business of veterinary management, as well as veterinary coaching and training.
To generate more appointments, Dr. Akawi has been using his social media to share Vetster information on both Facebook and LinkedIn (click here for inspiration!). He has also increased his availability time on Vetster, covers both western and eastern integrative veterinary telemedicine, and treats pocket pets and exotics. Meet Beza, a 4-year-old Chocolate Cichlid who had his first appointment this week with a Certified Aquatic Veterinarian. Beza’s owner left Dr. Rache a 5-star review, saying
Dr. Rasche was knowledgeable and personable. She took the time to read and know my fish’s history prior to the appointment. She’s easy to talk to and gave me helpful advice and suggestions on a number of different things I could try to help my fish. She listened and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I would reach out to her again in the future if needed.”. We’re so happy to provide the means for animals like Beza to be seen by a veterinary professional like Dr. Rasche with such ease!
Vetster is excited to be the first veterinary telemedicine platform joining Lumino Health’s network! Accessing quality virtual veterinary care is now available. With Vetster, Lumino Health now offers health care solutions and resources that benefit the whole family.
The last year certainly has been unprecedented! I hear complaints daily from fellow dog moms about their experiences trying to manage their pet’s health. This is particularly true when they talk about access to vet care. Many are unable to get an appointment with their vet or had to wait weeks to get an appointment only to find out they were not allowed to go inside with their pets resulting in additional frustration and stress.
In the veterinary services industry, a professional standard called the veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) is required to practice veterinary medicine. It is a relationship that is established mutually when a veterinarian and client decide that a pet will be treated. This includes the veterinarian taking responsibility for providing the pet medical care; taking/keeping medical records, giving appropriate advice and treatment options, and diagnosing and prescribing medicine.
