Hi, my name is Dr. Tiva, and I love cats and kittens.
After I graduated vet school in 2013, I completed 3 years of internship and residency training at Cornell University focusing on shelter and population medicine. I've spent my entire career working with shelters, rescues, and low-income individuals. I consider myself a master of "making it work" and getting the most bang for your buck. I have a no-nonsense approach to veterinary medicine and will help you make the best decision for your pet, family, and situation.
During the week I work with fosters and rescues to care for orphan kittens. I've worked with over 100 rescue organizations and treat over 1,000 kittens a year. During the weekend I do emergency medicine and see all sorts of animals from dogs to chickens.
I am passionate about behavior and training. I have competed in obedience and agility with my two Border Collies (and Bengal cat) and have taught training classes for over 10 years. I know that living with a pet's behavior problems can be just as challenging as living with their medical problems! I'll be able to help you with litterboxes, anxiety, destructive behavior and more.
