About Vet

Jen’s journey in veterinary medicine began as a child with the love of animals. Growing up she always had dogs and cats. She knew from then on she wanted to work with animals when she grew up. When she began working she worked in the kennel at animal hospitals and as a veterinary assistant. From there she wanted to become a licensed veterinary technician. Jen attended Suffolk Community College and graduated from the Veterinary technician program in 2004. She began her career in emergency and specialty medicine working at Atlantic Coast and Blue Pearl. After Jen got married and began her family, she practiced in General medicine at Banfield and VCA. Jen has practiced for 18 years and was offered a position at West Hills Animal Hospital as the inventory manager. Jen loves animals so much, she also started a pet sitting service to clients in her area.
Jen lives in NY with her husband, and two daughters. They have a 3 year old hound mix named Nico who was rescued from Georgia. Their other dog is Harley, a 12 year old shih tzu/maltese mix, who was surrendered by clients after being diagnosed with Parvo at 2 months old. She also rescued a 17 year old domestic short hair cat named Skylar who was found in a dumpster just days old. When she isn’t working she enjoys being her daughter’s cheer team mom, watching her other daughter play flag football and gymnastics, and spending time with her family and friends.
