About Vet

Hi, I’m Dr. Beth Belock!

I am a small animal veterinarian with over 12 years of clinical experience and a Professional Canine Behavior Consultant–Accredited (PCBC-A) through the Pet Professional Guild. I provide veterinary care and behavior support for puppies and adult dogs, with a strong focus on both everyday health concerns and behavior and training challenges.

I commonly help with questions related to anxiety, fear-based behaviors, reactivity, aggression, leash walking issues, house training, puppy behavior (including biting and socialization), and basic obedience. I also provide guidance on preventive care, nutrition, and general wellness questions, as well as help owners understand what may or may not require an in-person veterinary visit.

I own and operate Canine Body and Mind, where I combine veterinary medicine with behavior and training support using reward-based, force-free methods that prioritize both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Outside of work, I enjoy training and competing in dog sports with my Rough Collie, Scout, especially rally and scent work.

My goal is to make veterinary and behavior guidance clear, practical, and easy to apply so you can feel confident supporting your dog’s health, behavior, and overall quality of life.
