Dr. Rachael Strauss

Hi! I am a general practitioner for dogs and cats located in Los Angeles, CA. I am particularly interested in preventative care, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and my doctorate degree from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Unfortunately due to California laws, I am unable to prescribe medications at this time; however, I can help answer any questions that you may have about your pet's health.

I love being able to answer your questions, so that you can have an active role in medical decisions for your pet. For example, I can help with questions about your pet's medications, interpreting lab results, nutritional advice, and discuss whether a visit to an emergency vet is recommended. I also take great care to assist families discuss hospice care and quality of life decisions for their pets. I know how difficult those conversations can be, and I hope to provide ample support discussing your goals and priorities for your furry family members.

In my free time, I love to hike or take long walks with my rescue Chihuahua mix. I'm a big sports fan, and am a fan of Angel City FC and the LA Rams. I also love to cross-stitch, scuba dive, and read books of all genres.
