Maleena Curwick

Hello everyone! My name is Maleena and I always found interest in different species of animals and studied them on my free time. My mother and I shared our passion together, adopting reptiles and fish specifically and learning how to provide the best husbandry and dietary needs. Entering senior year of high school, I was given the best opportunity I could dream of to study zoology. With this class, I learned so much more about unlimited species of the animal kingdom and had the craziest dreams of working with all sorts of exotics. I originally wanted to study zoology exiting high school, but I changed my course to study veterinary technology as my pet bearded dragon with metabolic bone disease had passed away. I learned that my true passion in life was not discovering different species of animals, but to help animals receive the best care possible.

I am a licensed veterinary technician practicing full time in Sparta, Tennessee with 5+ years of clinical experience. My knowledge ranges from standard wellness care, preventative care, surgical care, vaccines, and educating owners on some pharmaceuticals, husbandry, and assisting with end of life decisions. You will have my full honest opinion of ethics with zero judgement.
