Hello, I am Dr. Wessel! I have been practicing in both emergency medicine and general practice for over eight years and have two spoiled brindle dogs and a flamepoint goblin — I mean cat — of my own. My husband and I also enjoy exploring the outdoors with our dogs as much as we can. One of our dogs is an epileptic with an auto-immune disease and horrible skin allergies, so I have a deep personal understanding of managing these conditions.
I have a passion for emergency medicine and stabilization and understand how difficult it can sometimes be to know when your pet needs to go to the emergency room. I can help guide you in assessing your pet at home, what to expect at an emergency room, and any over the counter products that might help your pet before you can be seen by your family veterinarian. Due to state practice laws, please know though that I can not diagnose or prescribe medications through Vetster.
Strengths: what to expect at an emergency room, neurological conditions, quality of life assessment, explaining/answering questions about conditions your pet has been diagnosed with
Weaknesses: nutrition (I can help you formulate a weight loss plan though!), grooming, behavior, reproduction/breeding
