Dr. Emma Castillo, the founder of Flock Doc, currently works as a Technical Services Veterinarian serving the US Poultry sector for Merck Animal Health in the Alabama and Mississippi region. Dr. Castillo grew up in New Jersey where she discovered she loved working with birds, and especially poultry. She received her degree of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University, and a Masters of Avian Health and Medicine, which is specific to poultry through the University of Georgia .
Dr. Castillo previously worked for Aviagen North America servicing their grandparent production farms. There she worked directly with producers to ensure optimal production through education, training, disease prevention and surveillance, and application of best management practices.
