Dr. Diana Pita

Dr. Pita grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY and later moved to the Midwest where she received her Bachelor of Science, Ph.D., and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University. During her graduate studies, she worked with different wildlife species, conducting research to better understand their vision and behavior. As part of her clinical year of veterinary school, she worked in Africa, studying parasite abundance in antelope, and participated in community outreach to reduce the spread of rabies between people and animals. A life-long learner, Dr. Pita enjoys using research to aid in clinical decision- making. She especially enjoys empowering clients with information to help them make the best decisions for their animals. During her free time, Dr. Pita spends time running, exploring the outdoors in addition to hanging out with her pets, Sharky, Peter and Loretta.
