Hello, I’ve been a veterinarian in central Va for 25 years. I’ve practiced in the the most rural practice and the most ‘gold standard’ city practice…at the same time! I’ve practiced as an emergency clinician and have prior experience in telemedicine. My practice style doesn’t change dependent on external factors. I practice with an integrative and holisitic style. Integrative medicine (for me) is looking at the whole picture: diet, lifestyle, environment, culture AND the traditional physical exam and diagnostic test results. I have a wealth of experience and knowledge and so do you! I practice in a manner that values you! You know your pet— you and I gather information to support wellness and get the care your family needs. Have you ever wished you just had a vet in the family…someone you can go to when you are worried, don’t understand, or haven’t felt heard? I am that person and I hope we can meet soon! Member: American Veterinary Medical Association, Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Information Network Family: My 4 leggeds include 4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 chickens. My 2 leggeds include my adult son and daughter. I’ve lived with a wide variety of amphibians and reptiles, guinea pigs and rabbits, and more kittens and young farm animals than I can remember. Weird fact: I had a frog that lived with me for 29 years. I hatched him/her out in my college embryology class and negotiated with my teacher until she allowed me to keep him/her. I lost my companion earlier this year (due to a power outage that lasted a week) and I often wonder if we could have spent another 3 decades together.
