Hello, my name is Angelea Rollins. I was born in New York but was raised in Florida. I joined the veterinary field in 2005 as a kennel technician. I was still in high school and developing my skills at Tarpon Springs High School’s Veterinary Science Academy. I graduated and became a certified veterinary assistant in 2009. I have worked in multiple different aspects in the pet industry including veterinary clinics, boarding kennels, and pet stores. However, my heart is in veterinary medicine. I started attending St. Petersburg College in 2015 to be able to reach my goal of becoming a certified veterinary technician. I graduated with honor in June 2020. After a few more months of studying after graduation I passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam to become certified as a veterinary technician. Since becoming certified I have worked at Banfield as a CVT. As a CVT I have many roles in the veterinary hospital. These include but are not limited to monitoring patients during anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, obtaining various patient samples, running those samples, obtaining patient history from pet owners, giving vaccines, and much more. I am excited for the opportunity that telemedicine is giving the veterinary community to help owners and their pets in need. I look forward to my future with Vetster and Banfield.
