My name is Rhiannon and I have been a Registered Veterinary Technologist for 6 years now! I graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2017 and a few months later I passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE). I have worked in a range of clinics from general practice to emergency clinics.

As per provincial veterinary legislation, bylaws, and policies, specific tasks exist within veterinary medicine that are performed exclusively by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). The following tasks cannot be performed by, or delegated to, an RVT:

*Prescription of treatment, drugs, medications, or modalities, *Diagnose or prognosis conditions; and *Perform surgery or apply surgical techniques.
